Owner/Founder

Krissy Swearingen is the founder and inspiration behind Cleanse. 

After working for Thomson Reuters for 11 years in database development, she decided to completely switch gears and follow her passion in the health and wellness industry.   This lead her down the path of alternative therapies and ultimately, colon hydrotherapy.

Krissy received her certificate of completion in colon hydrotherapy from the American Institute of Natural Health in Phoenix, AZ. She has over 20 years of experience in the alternative therapy industry and has been administering colonics professionally in Minnesota since 2005.   She has worked with clients from all around the world (but mainly the Twin Cities and Wisconsin).  She opened Cleanse in 2012 with a vision to share her wealth of knowledge with her clients while creating a safe, inviting and exceptionally clean therapy clinic that is welcoming to everyone!

Krissy is always eager to learn more and is constantly taking continuing education and advanced training courses to further expand her knowledge to share with her clients.  She has trained local colon hydrotherapists and some new therapists coming out of school who now run out of state clinics themselves.  She recently studied Ayurvedic techniques at the Minnesota School of Ayurveda in Minneapolis.   She also works closely with medical professionals who send their patients to her for both Colon Hydrotherapy and Ozone Steam Sauna technology.  She believes that collaboration is key to helping clients help themselves!

She has vast knowledge of the digestive system and is eager to share her expertise with her clients. She has administered over 25,000 colonics, has over 300 verified client reviews and has witnessed many transformations due to changes through colon hydrotherapy, nutrition and exercise. Krissy specializes in working with each client to create and individualized “action plan”.

Krissy is a mother of two amazing sons (and a super cool Russian Blue cat named Chica).   She is a fitness and health enthusiast. She has run both the Twin Cities and Chicago Marathons, trains with kettlebells and practices yoga.  She keeps a morning routine where she sets daily intentions, affirmations and mediations.  She believes that one needs to have a healthy balance between proper nutrition, digestive, physical and spiritual health in order to maintain optimal health. She is here to guide you and give you the tools to help you be the best version of yourself!
